Dealer's Notice
At Nica Brac, I use precious metals in the jewellery I create. These are 925 sterling silver, and occasionally 999 fine silver, all purchased from two well known established jewellery trade suppliers in Hatton Garden, London, and The Jewellery Quarter, in Birmingham, UK.
The total weight of silver I use is each piece is always below the hallmarking threshold weight (which is 7.78g for silver) which means it is not hallmarked by an Assay Office.
(Nica Brac jewellery will however, contain a simple stamp somewhere on the piece, to let you know the type of silver used, eg, a simple '925' stamp mark or '925' tag, to denote that it is made from sterling silver).
